~Guidelines~

For a free, no obligation analysis of your manuscript:

Send four chapters with synopsis as a Word attachment. Put Evaluation in subject line to jakimble@direcway.com

Please read our guidelines carefully. We hate to send back manuscripts that don't adhere.

Genres We are Seeking:

All fiction except horror. Short story collections and children's fiction.

All non-fiction.

If you have what you think is the next New York Times Best-seller, send it to us. Not sure about the genre? Ask.

Manuscript Format:

1. Typed, double spaced, 1.5" margins all around.

2. Put your name, contact info and total page count of the manuscript on the title page.

3. We prefer e-mail submissions as a Word attachment.

4. If you must send via snail mail, please let us know.
Always remember the SASE for return reply.

5. Always include a synopsis or a proposal if non-fiction.

Our editors will look at the work and a decision will be reached within one week from submission. Much planning and consideration goes into all the manuscripts submitted at Kimble-McKay, so we ask that you please be patient. We will reply through your email address.

Please be considerate of the time consuming nature of our work, however, and only phone if it is necessary.
