Refining the Writer &
Representing Fine Authors to Agents & Publishers

"Once you make a
decision, the universe conspires to make it happen."
___Ralph Waldo Emerson
How We Help You Get Published
Editors at
publishing companies reject superbly written manuscripts everyday.
The publishing industry does not exist to create
the next Faulkner, Grisham or Roberts. Their motive is their bottom line. Submit
a manuscript that will make them a lot of money, and the publisher will snatch
you up quicker than you can say, "comma!"
Why?
Because today's publishing industry is more
competitive than ever before in history.
Many emerging writers don't understand the protocols and
expectations of publishers. Learning them can take years of research and time.
You've spent your precious time writing a story you feel is worthy.
Now let us make sure your hard work is successful.
Publishers expect a perfect manuscript, which means perfect in every area - including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and story dynamics such as characters that your readers will remember long after finishing the book, tension that keeps the reader on the edge, well-written dialogue, and much more. Publishers no longer take the time and money to edit. If your manuscript isn't up to par, it is thrown in the circular file.
Feedback from a professional editor can get you published years quicker by eliminating the speculation and guesswork.
Even the most talented writer needs a second pair of eyes. Let a professional help make your story great - a story that agents and publishers want
We will work with you so that you, too, can be one of those few chosen for publication. We do not use form letters. All our correspondence is geared to the individual author and his/her needs.

Don't take chances...you've poured a significant
portion of your life into your writing.
We specialize in emerging authors; those of
you who have the drive to put you lore onto
the page for the world to read and enjoy. We
know the industry; what works, what doesn’t,
and how to help get your book noticed.
Let us help you achieve the last step to your complete success!
Here's How It Works -
1. We will give you a free evaluation (limited time only) so that you know where your manuscript stands for being submissable to agents/publishers.
We will be honest with you, giving you a list of issues that will keep your manuscript from being read by agents/publishers.
2. We will help you fine-tune your work until it is pristine, including your synopsis or proposal.
You will receive the appropriate articles and assistance so that you can improve your writing skills. Your success is important to us. Writing is an art. We want you, the aspiring author, to hone your skills so that your dreams of being published will become your reality so you don't keep making the same mistakes that will keep you from success.
We use state of the art editing tools along with
our professional knowledge of the industry.
3. We will search our vast database for
the right agents/publishers for your work, and write a letter of introduction so
that your submission is not considered unsolicited.
Many of our publishers do not require agent representation, which could save you 15%-20% in commissions.
4. We will work with you with full support from beginning to end of the process.
We have several plans according to your needs.

Testimonials

I must
express my gratitude to Hudson, Ohio, librarian Ron Antonucci, who edits
The Ohio Writer, and to Paul Bauer, confessed true-crime junkie
and proprietor of Archer’s Book Shop in Kent (a shop that specializes in
baseball and true crime), both of whom read early drafts of the
manuscript, contributing editorial suggestions and leaving their
fingerprints all over the resulting book. The final text is the
meticulously edited product of Jillanne Kimble, of Kimble McKay
Literary Arts Group, who, I can certify, is a dedicated perfectionist as
well as very success oriented for her clients. Jack Gieck -
Fatal Journey: A Forensic Science Documentary,
published by Kensington Publishers, May 2003. The advantage of having an agent/editor is that we come to know your manuscript (writing style, voice, needs) intimately through the revision process. We are better able to know where to submit your book, enabling us to be able to talk to publishing houses with a greater area of reference and enthusiasm, unlike a freelance editor who knows little about the industry. --Niki McKay
Recently, I completed two mystery novels, Deadly Is The Night and
Kirk Bonner Another testimonial: Dear
Jillanne; Dear Ms. Kimble, Thank you for all your help with my manuscripts. You have taught me how to write better, find my voice and understand all of those pesky POV problems. Because of your professionalism and knowledge, I am well on my way to getting published! Sincerely, Dear Kimble McKay, I just received an offer from an agent. THANKS! Your help has been invaluable.
